Me. Again. Sort of.
This is my second post in a couple of days (although I'm actually adding them to the site at the same time.) I have a few things to say, beginning with :
1) How sick is everybody of "Lost" already? I watched the season finale and I swan ( a lighter form of the verb swear ) if it doesn't get better in October I'm going to stop watching it all together. Two seasons is really overkill for a show like this. (To my way of thinking it should've been an eight episode miniseries.) Surely they aren't trying to turn it into a non-funny Gilligan's Island. That would be bad, really bad. Advice to ABC : End it with a short third season. Period.
2)Still on the tv thing: "House" producers: We don't need the weird little over-the-top, semi-cliff hanging season finales. The character of Dr. House is perfect just the way he is, without all the riga-marole. ( I have no idea if I spelled that right, but I'm not even sure it's a real word so maybe it doesn't matter. ) If you fix him (i.e. if he's only the person he was because of his leg) then you kill the show, by telling all of us that you've created a one dimensional character with a single (correctible) flaw and then you corrected the flaw thus allowing you to end the series. ( If that's what you wanted -- a two season series -- then you could've saved some money by hiring any two-bit American actor to read Dr. House's lines. ) I hope none of this is true and you start next season off with a resonable, normal, ol' Dr. House episode.
3)Still working on the rest of the site. It's going ok. I've had a few setbacks but nothing catastrophic. Definitely have it up and running cool by the second or third of June. I'm pretty desperate to do this thing, to prove myself, so it'll probably end up alright. (Crossing my fingers and toes for luck.)
AHAH! Well, that was a long two weeks (or so)
It's been another long two weeks. I've been meaning to post and just couldn't find the time. I've been working on some other things that just haven't been panning out. I think I'm going to change the site around some more and maybe rethink the whole idea. I've been trying to do this like other people would do it and that just isn't me. I've never been a follower. I have to create something new, for myself. This little area is mine. I can't make it be or do something that isn't part of who I am.
So. . . New stuff is coming. It's different, it's interesting and it's me. I'm working on it. It might be a week it might be two weeks, then again it might be tomorrow or the next day. I appreciate all those who are interested enough to keep coming back. Your perseverence will be rewarded . . . eventually.
Guess Who Else Is Back!
I'm just gonna say "Napster" and leave it at that. (You don't imagine I'm really going to shut up, do you.) This is really great. You can listen to any of their music selections five times before you have to sign up. That's weeks and weeks worth of music ( if you have universal tastes, like I do. ) I think it's a truly great idea. It'll sell music like crazy. (I don't know if it'll sell Napster like crazy, but artists known and unknown will start selling lots more albums. I would almost bet on it.) I say "Good, going Napster! Bravo! Encore! Encore!" You know they deserve the applause. I mean what will they think up next. ( I'm only being slightly sarcastic. It's too late (or early) to be really super sarcastic. I'd have to think too much.) Still it's cool and I hope they get lots of subcribers because of it. Will I be one of them? Maybe, and maybe not.
I’m Baaaack!
Hey! Long time no blog, huh? Well, you see it's like this. I was having difficulties with my speakers and my microphone. I took a large tumbler, which I thought was empty, and hung one of my microphones from it. Needless to say, it was only mostly empty. When I pushed the keyboard forward a little, it nudged the microphone wire which pulled the tumbler, with about two ounces of soda still in it, down on top of the keyboard. Those of you who have had this happen in the past, (if there are any of you out there who are quite as dunderheaded as I can sometimes be) you can guess what happened next. In order to make a long story short, I have been without a replacement keyboard until today. I assure you that I will now make frequent updates to this blog and the site. I have not disappeared off the face of the earth, I still love computers and there is lots of cool stuff coming as soon as I can get it all typed in. ( Some great photos are coming, too. I got a brand new charger and batteries for my digital camera.)
